Anna Rizza
COSTUME DESIGNER
Anna Rizza is a costume designer who in 2004 earned her Masters degree in Art, Music and Performance (DAMS, Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo) at the University of Bologna. She did an internship at the couture house D’Inzillo Sweet Mode where she learned to design, create and execute certain fabric-dying techniques and the aging of fabrics. Working in opera, television and Italian film, she was initially an assistant to the costume designer Naná Cecchi. When she came to France, Anna Riza contacted the creator Nino Chubinichvili, with whom she began creating costumes for live performance and especially for contemporary dance, notably on the series of projects connected to Matter by Julie Nioche.
